S Lakdawala and Associates was founded in 2012 to provide taxation, audit, and compliance services to individuals, professionals, and businesses across sectors. The founding brief was straightforward: build a practice that could handle everything a client's finance function needed, from monthly bookkeeping to appellate representation, without having to bring in a separate specialist for each function.
Real estate developers were among the firm's earliest clients, and that relationship deepened over time. When the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act came into force and the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority was constituted, the firm extended its mandate to RERA compliance and litigation — a natural continuation of work it was already doing on the tax and audit side for the same clients. That real estate practice has since grown into a dedicated vertical, run alongside our general taxation, audit, and corporate compliance work.
Today the firm serves clients across manufacturing, trading, professional services, and real estate development, from its office in Vasai (West), with each compliance vertical — GST, Income Tax, MCA, and MahaRERA — run as its own dedicated desk.
